Tony Khan Announces Huge Collaboration Between AEW and the NFL
Las Vegas—Speaking from Radio Row during Super Bowl LX week, All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan revealed a first-of-its-kind merchandise collaboration between AEW and the National Football League: officially licensed Lucha Libre masks for all 32 NFL franchises.
Khan, who doubles as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Chief Football Strategy Officer—a post he holds while his father, Shad Khan, owns the club—told Compas On The Beat that the crossover has been a long-held ambition. “I’ve always wanted the NFL and AEW to work together,” Khan said, holding up a Jaguars-branded mask. “This is a Jacksonville Jaguars Lucha Libre mask, but I’m so excited about it because they will be putting this up, and these will be available for all 32 NFL teams.”
The masks will drop on the opening night of the 2026 NFL Draft, Thursday, April 23, exclusively through ShopAEW.com. Each design will pair a team’s colors and logos with the vibrant styling synonymous with Mexican Lucha Libre, allowing football fans to support their clubs through AEW’s unique lens.
“Now, finally, I’ve always wanted this. It’s a dream I’ve been working on for years,” Khan added. “So whoever your NFL team is, whatever football team you’re a fan of, you’ll be able to get an All Elite Wrestling NFL mask for your team.”
The announcement arrives less than three years after WWE unveiled a multi-year NFL partnership that produced replica championship belts for every franchise. Notably, the Jaguars-themed belt vanished from WWE’s online storefront shortly after launch, fueling speculation that the Khans preferred their organization not participate in a rival wrestling promotion’s merchandise program.
Whether AEW’s new deal signals the end of WWE’s NFL licensing arrangement remains uncertain; WWE Shop continues to list NFL Title Belts at $599.99 apiece, including versions for this weekend’s Super Bowl LX combatants, the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
For now, Khan is celebrating the realization of a years-long vision that unites his dual passions—professional wrestling and professional football—just three days before the biggest game on the NFL calendar.
