Seahawks, Patriots release inactive list ahead of Super Bowl LX

Las Vegas—With kickoff of Super Bowl LX now only hours away, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots have finalized their game-day rosters, submitting identical seven-man inactive lists that trim their rosters to the league-mandated 48 active players.

Seattle’s inactives are headlined by rookie fullback Robbie Ouzts, who will sit out after failing to clear the neck issue that has kept him from practicing since the conference-title round. The decision protects the first-year blocker in a position that demands constant contact. Linebacker Chazz Surratt, edge defender Jared Ivey, offensive lineman Mason Richman, tight end Nick Kallerup, nose tackle Brandon Pili and emergency quarterback Jalen Milroe round out Seattle’s de-activated group. Most of those names have been healthy scratches throughout the postseason; Pili’s absence clears a path for second-year defensive lineman Rylie Mills to see situational snaps against a Patriots interior that trends lighter in bulk.

Quarterback Jalen Milroe’s designation as the emergency third quarterback is procedural, while tight end Elijah Arroyo’s return to the active roster ends a six-week layoff. Arroyo, who last appeared in early December, could be deployed in specialty packages that target New England’s linebacker level.

New England likewise kept its surprises to a minimum. Cornerback Kobee Minor, outside linebacker Braydn Swinson, offensive tackles Marcus Bryant and Caeden Wallace, tight end C.J. Dippre, wide receiver Efton Chism III and quarterback Tommy DeVito—the Patriots’ own emergency signal-caller—were all ruled out. The moves affirm the availability of key veterans who had been limited in practice, namely edge defender Harold Landry III and inside linebacker Robert Spillane. Swinson’s deactivation is interpreted by club personnel as a vote of confidence in Landry’s readiness after two weeks of maintenance days.

Both clubs will dress 48 healthy players, leaving no further roster maneuvering before the opening whistle. The league’s final injury report is now closed, and the chessboard is set for the last game of the 2025 NFL season.
