Liverpool on red alert as Real Madrid open door to Camavinga sale
Liverpool have been placed on high alert after Real Madrid signalled a willingness to part with France midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to L’Equipe. The 23-year-old has long been admired by the Reds, and the Spanish giants’ readiness to sanction a transfer could trigger a summer move to Anfield.
Camavinga, who joined Madrid from Rennes in 2021, is valued for his versatility across the midfield and his ability to break up play. With Liverpool reportedly seeking reinforcements in the engine room, the news that Madrid are open to offers places the Premier League club in a strong position to pursue a deal.
Elsewhere in the market, Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva is attracting attention from Barcelona and Juventus, both of whom are exploring a free-transfer swoop for the 31-year-old Portugal international. Juve are also eyeing Manchester United’s Manuel Ugarte, believing Champions League qualification would give them the edge in negotiations for the £35m-rated Uruguayan.
Arsenal have moved ahead of Liverpool in the race for RB Leipzig’s 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande, while Tottenham have set a 50m euro (£43.6m) minimum valuation for captain Cristian Romero amid interest from Atletico Madrid.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr, 25, has been linked with Paris St-Germain and Premier League clubs should he opt to leave the Bernabeu. Newcastle are set to compete for Werder Bremen’s 18-year-old Germany U21 defender Karim Coulibaly, and both Liverpool and Manchester United have intensified scouting of Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, 24.
Chelsea retain a buy-back clause on Diego Moreira, 21, who is wanted by Borussia Dortmund, while Roma are weighing a combined 55m euro (£48m) move for Midtjylland pair Dario Osorio, 22, and Franculino, 21.
