The complaint lands just 48 hours before Hansi Flick’s squad head to Montilivi for a rare Monday-night Catalan derby against Girona, a fixture moved from its traditional slot to accommodate television schedules. Kick-off is set for 9.00 p.m. local time, and the club has published a global viewing guide for supporters tuning in from different time zones.

Training resumed under clear skies at the Ciutat Esportiva on Valentine’s Day after Friday’s storms, yet the session was missing one of January’s headline signings. Marcus Rashford, who has yet to make his competitive debut for the Blaugrana, did not take part and is now considered highly doubtful for the trip north. In contrast, Raphinha stepped up his comeback by completing part of the group workout, raising hopes he could be involved against Míchel’s side.

Off the pitch, Barcelona continue to field enquiries about veteran striker Robert Lewandowski. Chicago Fire remain the most aggressive MLS suitor, pushing to make the Polish international the flagship name of their summer rebuild.
