The field for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 is complete, with eight clubs booking their places through two-legged knockout playoffs that concluded on Wednesday, Feb. 25. The decisive second-leg ties—PSG vs. Monaco, Juventus vs. Galatasaray, Atalanta vs. Dortmund and Real Madrid vs. Benfica—set the final lineup, joining the eight teams that had already secured direct passage by finishing in the top eight of the league phase.

Tuesday’s action saw Atlético Madrid, Newcastle, Bayer Leverkusen and Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt seal aggregate victories to move into the last 16, capping a dramatic playoff round that pitted clubs placed 9th through 24th in the league table against one another.

UEFA will conduct the draw for the knockout bracket on Friday, Feb. 27 at 6 a.m. ET in Switzerland, mapping out the path from the Round of 16 to the final. First-leg matches of the Round of 16 begin March 10, with return fixtures to follow. The competition’s first legs continue April 7–8, and second legs are slated for April 14–15. Semifinal first legs will be played April 28–29, with the return legs on May 5–6.

The 2026 Champions League final is scheduled for May 30 at Budapest’s Puskás Arena, where Europe’s top club will be crowned.
