Manchester United teenager Kai Rooney has taken a significant step toward professional football by joining Triple S Sports Management, the agency confirmed via Instagram. The move comes as the 16-year-old forward prepares to enter the summer 2026 transfer window and negotiate his first professional contract.

Currently featuring for United’s Under-18s, Kai is the son of club legend and all-time leading scorer Wayne Rooney. Despite an injury-shortened campaign that limited him to 112 minutes across six matches, the right-winger has already registered one goal and one assist, underlining the potential that has caught the eye of talent representatives.

Last month, United offered the youngster a formal one-year scholarship to begin once he finishes school this summer. Upon completion, the deal is set to convert into a three-year professional contract worth £50,000 per year, plus an annual signing-on fee.
