Aintree: I Am Maximus etched his name deeper into Grand National folklore by capturing the historic steeplechase for the second time in three years. The 10-year-old, who first triumphed in 2024 and finished runner-up 12 months ago, started the 9-2 favourite and delivered under jockey Paul Townend to seal another memorable victory in the world’s most famous jumps race.
