Former Manchester United winger officially wins February 2026 LaLiga award
Valencia, Spain – Largie Ramazani, the 25-year-old winger on loan from Leeds United, has been named LaLiga’s Goal of the Month winner for February 2026, the league confirmed this week. The Belgian’s acrobatic volley against Levante topped the monthly fan vote and earned the former Manchester United academy graduate his first senior individual honour in Spain.
Ramazani, a right-footed wide player deployed on the left flank, lashed home a first-time effort from the edge of the area to open the scoring in Valencia’s 2-1 victory. The strike was his third goal of the current campaign and the standout moment of a season in which he has logged 19 appearances, four goals and two assists for the Mestalla club.
The award continues a growing trend of ex-United wide men thriving in LaLiga. Marcus Rashford has re-energised Barcelona with 10 goals and 13 assists in 36 matches, while Antony sealed a permanent £20 million switch to Real Betis last summer after an initial loan spell.
Ramazani’s own Spanish story began long before this season. After leaving United in 2020, he spent three years at UD Almería, registering 22 goals and seven assists in 128 games and helping the Andalusian side earn promotion from LaLiga 2. A move to Leeds followed, where he contributed seven goals and two assists in 31 Championship appearances as the Yorkshire club secured promotion.
The Brussels-born attacker joined United from Charlton Athletic in 2017 and progressed through the academy ranks, scoring 30 times for the Under-18s and adding 20 appearances for the Under-21s. He made his solitary senior appearance for the Red Devils in November 2019, coming off the bench in a Europa League win away to Astana.
Valencia posted photographs of Ramazani holding the Goal of the Month trophy on Tuesday, underlining their pride in the winger’s achievement. With his loan set to conclude at season’s end, the Belgian will hope the accolade accelerates his push for a regular starting role upon his return to Leeds.
