Barcelona have discovered the price they must pay to prise Julian Ryerson away from Borussia Dortmund this summer, with the Bundesliga outfit ready to sanction the Norway international’s departure for €30 million, according to Bild.
The Catalan club held preliminary discussions about the 28-year-old defender late last year and have now been informed that Dortmund will green-light a transfer if their valuation is met. Ryerson’s current deal still has two seasons remaining at Signal Iduna Park, but the German side are prepared to cash in after a standout 2025-26 campaign.
Ryerson has registered 11 assists in 21 Bundesliga appearances to date, adding another pair in the Champions League. His international form has been equally eye-catching: four assists during Norway’s flawless World Cup 2026 qualifying run, in which the team won all eight fixtures to top their group.
Manchester United and Liverpool are also monitoring Ryerson’s situation, and additional suitors are expected to emerge once the defender features on the global stage at the upcoming World Cup. Barcelona, meanwhile, continue to work toward operating under the 1:1 spending rule and will not block any bid that meets their own financial criteria.
Any incoming fee for Ryerson would boost the club’s summer budget as they look to reinforce Xavi Hernández’s squad ahead of next season.
Barcelona could also receive a welcome cash injection from the probable sale of winger Abde Ezzalzouli, with Real Betis holding an 80 percent stake and the Blaugrana retaining the remaining 20 percent of any future transfer fee.
